A magnitude six earthquake struck northern Italy in the middle of the night. Around 6 people have died due to buildings and debris falling on them. A lot of cultural heritage has been destroyed by the quake, civil protection workers and firefighters are trying to examine the damage to the historical buildings. This has been the worsed earthquake to hit Italy since the L'Aquila earthquake that killed nearly 300 people in 2009.
Terrified residents ran into the streets trying to get away. There's even reports that a women was so scared that she died of a heart attack during the quake. This just shows how destructive and scary being there must have been. Around 50 people where injured but none where serious. It's petrifying how horrible and upsetting a natural disaster can be, don't you think?
